Getafe v Real Betis – Betting Preview

Getafe Summary

Getafe is just above the drop zone but very confident within the club they can pull themselves clear of the drop zone.

There was nothing expected of them away in Barcelona and to be fair, they stayed in the game throughout despite conceding early in the narrow 1-0 loss. Ultimately however the only thing they took home was pride intact, but it is points they need to stay up.

With Real Betis the opponent this weekend, Getafe know it is a match they will fancy that they can ruffle feathers and earn a win with a strong showing.

Getafe’s confidence is not great, but their morale and commitment are fine.

Quique Flores has no new absences or suspensions. a full-strength squad to select from barring the long-term injured midfielder, Mauro Arambarri.

The Argentine midfielder is joined on the sidelined by former Barcelona striker Munir, a frequently used sub for Getafe but nothing more.

Real Betis Summary

Real Betis headed to Barcelona to face Espanyol last weekend but came away with nothing. As much of a concern as the loss was that they ran out distinctly second best in a disappointing 1-0 defeat.

Betis’ form and optimism have been damaged since the world cup break and they are keen to bounce back with a win to arrest this overall slump. They had been dumped out of the cup a couple of days before the loss to Espanyol, so the mood has suffered significantly in the last couple of matches.

The main aim for Betis is the 4th spot and anything less than a win here sees them fall further from that target.

Pellegrini has only positive team news with the important Luiz Felipe back from a suspension to sit at centre back.

Juan Cruz is the only injury absence but he isn’t close to pressing for a starting role.

Betting Analysis

Looking at the 1×2 market first. The slight favourite for this game is Real Betis @ 2.65, which looks a little on the short side considering their recent form. Getafe is @ 3.15 while the draw is @ 2.90.

Moving onto the Asian handicap market for this contest. The punters have the draw no bet (DNB) as a cushion here. So, a bet on either Betis -0 @ 1.77 the slight favourite, or Getafe -0 @ 2.11, would return the stake should it end all square.

Looking at The Under/Over goal line last of all which looks fairly set at 2. Under 2 goals is @ 1.77 while the Over is @ 2.03.  The first goal looks vital for Getafe to score, if they get it then they’ll sit back and defend. Betis scoring first and ideally in the first half should be better for the game as a spectacle and punters needing Overs. If there are exactly 2 goals in this match then stakes are returned on this market.
