Cadiz v Getafe – Betting Preview
Cadiz come into the game determined to build on their good recent results.
They followed up the win over Rayo two weeks ago in the Friday evening game with a highly credible 0-0 in San Sebastian against Sociedad last weekend.
They moved up one place 15th, but this only saw them one point above the drop zone and so still with plenty of work to do. The team immediately beneath them is Getafe and so this game is huge, and a win is their aim.
This good recent form has given them a massive boost of confidence as well as improving chances of staying up.
The recent home run makes for highly impressive reading, Cadiz has won four from their last six matches in front of their fans in the la Liga 2022/23.
Looking at team news for Cadiz in their trip to Sociedad.
Sergio González remains without Ocampos in the only important absence.
Ocampo is a powerful and quick left-sided winger and is at the heart of many of their best chances and goals. His expected assists and actual assist during the La Liga 2022/23 season are at 0.16 per game.
Jon Ander Garrido, Joseba Zaldua, and Víctor Chust are missing with injuries. Of these Zaluda and Chust are noted as starters when available.
Getafe’s confidence and form has been significantly improved in the last fortnight. This on the back of much-needed wins over Valencia and Girona, the latter an especially impressive result.
Valencia (W1-0) was a six pointer of a relegation battle and so that was a vital result more than anything.
This match is another one that they will see as fundamental not to lose. This as it is a big relegation rival and so they are traveling down to Cadiz with excellent motivation.
Getafe sits in 16th and just one point and one place behind Cadiz, they will love to win but most important is to avoid defeat.
Looking at team news for Getafe now, and the boss Quique Flores has one new doubt.
The injury concern is Mauro Arambarri after he aggravated an older injury in the knee. Algobia is on standby.
This is an important holding midfield role and stats show there is a reduction anticipated here. The regular Uruguayan has won 55% of his defensive duels compared to 56% for Algobia, but Arambarri has more than double the number of recoveries at 6.42 compared to Algobia’s 3.03.
Looking at the 1×2 market first. Cadiz is in excellent form at home and the favourites @ 2.55. The draw is @ 2.90 and the Getafe win is @ 3.30.
Moving onto the Asian handicap betting for this contest. Cadiz -0.25 is @ 2.13 and Getafe +0.25 @ 1.77.
Looking at The Under/Over goal line last of all. These are two very aggressive and cautious teams; the line is set low at 1.75 which makes sense. Over is @ 1.89 and the Under is @ 1.94.
