Getafe v Girona – Betting Preview

Getafe Summary

Getafe’s confidence and form had received a boost a fortnight ago with a much-needed win over Valencia, where they grabbed a vital late win.

Although massive underdogs, the loss in Villarreal last time out was a setback as they came so close to getting something.

On the back of two strong showings, the dressing room is a less nervy place and looks fairly positive despite their lowly position.

Due to results going in favour of those around them, Getafe dropped into 19th last weekend.

Quique Flores is a boss under some pressure but the general consensus is that the squad are mostly behind him.

Looking at team news for Getafe for the meeting with Girona, everything is positive.

Full strength is available for the boss. Quique Flores is expected to be bolder in the formation, with Maksimovic playing further forward and Mayoral as a left winger. Aleñá and Munir are both pushing for starts up top.

Girona Summary

Girona comes into the game on the back of two fantastic consecutive wins and morale is excellent.

They battered Almeria 6-2 around two weeks ago and followed that spectacular offensive showing by grabbing a win in a five-goal thriller in Bilbao last weekend.

On the back of the 2-3 victory in San Mames, they will aim to follow up with a win against relegation threatened Getafe.

Girona have little relegation worries sitting 11th before any matches start this round, but not with enough distance in points to be carefree.

Having won three from their last four games, Girona’s overall mood and confidence are decent, and the season is exceeding all expectations.

Looking into their team news brings up only positive news.

Michel Sánchez has no new doubt or important absences for the game in Getafe.

The fringe men Ibrahima Kebe and Couto remains out. they are joined on the side-lines by Yangel Herrera.

Betting Analysis

Looking at the 1×2 market first. Getafe is a marginal favourite @ 2.80. Girona is a little bigger price @ 2.90.

The draw meanwhile could tempt punters based on how closely matched the market makes this game. The draw is @ 2.95.

Moving onto the Asian handicap market for this contest. With  the betting between these two well matched sides so close, the Draw no bet  (DNB) is offered as a cushion here.

So backing either Getafe -0 @ 1.89 or Girona -0 @ 1.97 would see the full stake returned should it end as a draw.

Looking at The Under/Over goal betting last of all. The line moved up from 1.5 to 2 goals, indicating the punters are anticipating a more open game than initially expected by the market.

Over is @ 1.96 and the Under is @ 1.87.
