Getafe Summary

Getafe is going towards the end of 2022 hovering just 3 points above the drop zone and experienced boss Quique Flores admits the situation is difficult and the mood is nervous.

The hosts are in something of a torrid run of one win from their last eight league outings, including a disappointing loss to Almeria last time out.

On a more positive, Getafe have a good recent record with Mallorca, securing victory in three of their last four meetings against the Island club.

The host will be determined to get back to winning ways against, particularly with the game taking place at home at El Coliseum Alfonso Pérez. Quique Sánchez Flores has a full-strength Squad to select from barring the long-term injured midfielder Mauro Arambarri.

Mallorca Summary

Mallorca is in good form and begins this contest in a highly respectable 11th place in La Liga. The World Cup break came at an unwelcome time for the islanders, who had won three of their last four league games before the pause in the season.

Mallorca boss Javier Aguirre will be keen to build on his side’s 1-0 victory over Atlético Madrid in the last round, but team news is on the negative side.

Mallorca has no injury concerns but is without two key men due to suspension for the trip to Getafe. The dependable duo of Martin Valjent and Iñigo Ruiz de Galarreta both out, reducing the strength and core of the team. Valjent is an ever-present centre back while Iñigo Ruiz de Galarreta is an important part of protecting the back four from his spot in central midfield.

Betting Analysis

Looking at the 1×2 market first, where there is no strong favourite and the punters see a very tight game to call. The host Getafe are on offer @ 2.85 to win, while the draw is similarly priced @ 2.750. For the higher placed Mallorca that travel without two important regulars, they are on offer @ 3.10 to grab victory and are seen as the outsider.

Moving onto the Asian handicap market for this contest. As above, the two clubs can barely be split. Draw no bet is the offer here, with Getafe -0 @1.85 the slight favourite. Mallorca meanwhile is @ -0 / 2.020.

Looking at The Under/Over market last of all. It is evident that the punters have low expectations of any real excitement in this contest, with the line set at 1.75 goals. On top of this extremely low offer, Under is the favourite too @ 1.850. Over is @ 1.98 and that would be the preference purely on value with the goal line set this low. Even if there are only 2 goals then half of the stake is counted as a win.
