Osasuna v Celta Vigo – Betting Preview

Osasuna Summary

Osasuna got back to winning ways with a tremendous offensive outburst in their surprise win over Sevilla last weekend in La Liga 2022/23.

Their form had dropped off in recent Rounds, the 2-3 victory in Seville was the first league win since the 14th of January.

The mood has never faded though as the club is extremely united and always fully committed.

The win in the league was followed up with a narrow first-leg cup success with Athletic Club, adding confidence to the group.

Looking at team news now for Osasuna which is positive for the visit of Celta Vigo in the Monday night game.

The only definite absence for Arraste is Rubén Peña, while the boss can recall Nacho Vidal and Rubén García who both returned to full training this week. Though neither played in the Copa del Rey match midweek.

Kike García is set to be a last-minute decision as to whether or not he is cleared to play. Striker Budimir is on standby.

Celta Vigo Summary

Celta Vigo put in one of their best performances of the season at home to Real Valladolid last weekend, winning 3-0 with some glorious attacking football on show.

The impressive victory was a positive progression after the credible draw in San Sebastian against Sociedad in the previous encounter.

The Galicians are in excellent form and their spirits are high.

They had lost unluckily to Atletico Madrid in early February, and so the sense is that this team is very much on an upward curve.

They start the game in the mid-to-lower end of the table of La Liga 2022/23, still fearful of being dragged into the bottom three despite good performances.

Looking at team news now. Celta travels to Pamplona to face Osasuna with the only absences being that of the inured Agustín Marchesín and Óscar Mingueza who remain out.

They also have a couple of doubts with Fran Beltran, Luca de la Torre, and Strand Larsen with minor knocks from the Valladolid win.

Carlos Carvalhal is expected to continue with the same eleven that hammered Valladolid, with Renato Tapia taking a spot on the subs bench.

Betting Analysis

Looking at the 1×2 market first. Osasuna and Celta Vigo cannot be split by the punters, both are @ 2.80 to win. The draw meanwhile is @ 3.00.

Moving onto the Asian handicap betting for this contest. So close is the betting between these two well matched sides, the Draw no bet is offered (DNB). On top of this, both clubs also are priced up with the same odds, @ 1.93. A bet on either team would see the full stake returned should it end as a draw. I can see why the market cannot split these two sides, easy pass all round in this market and the 1×2.

Looking at The Under/Over goal line last of all, which is set at 2 and the most interesting of the betting options. Both teams arrive in a good confidence mood and some goals would not surprise. Over is @ 1.86 and the Under is @ 1.97.
