Real Betis v Real Mallorca – Betting Preview

Real Betis Summary

Real Betis faces Mallorca in a must-win game to keep up strong hopes of a top four spot in La Liga 2022/23.

They begin the round just 3 points away from Real Sociedad who currently occupy the fourth spot.

Betis had a mini wobble in early February but have since regained their stride and are in a strong-looking league position.

After holding 6th placed Villarreal away from home last weekend, they now have a 4-point gap over them and so have strengthened their grip on 5th place.

They departed the Europa League tournament midweek but that came as no surprise and they won’t lose sleep over the exit either, particularly with it being to one of the best teams in it, Manchester United.

the motivation is very high to bounce back with a win against Mallorca.

Looking at team news now. Real Betis remain without key man Nabil Fekir along with defender Luiz Felipe.

The new absence here is the speedy Brazilian winger Luis Henrique being suspended. Canales will begin in his spot on the right side, but effectively its Rodri that replaces him, as he takes Canales normal spot in the number ten role.

Real Mallorca Summary

Mallorca is without a win in their last three games and would take a draw here, while a win would go some way to make up for recent bad results.

The narrow loss to Espanyol was followed by a shock home loss by Elche. They were unable to grind out a win against Sociedad last weekend but that was a slight improvement, in terms of performance and outcome.

The morale and confidence are incredibly high and they have little to no fear of being dragged into any kind of relegation battle this season.

There is a sense they are playing carefree and with nothing to lose. They would be delighted with a win here, but motivation is better for Betis.

Aguirre can recall star striker Vedat Muriqi, who served a suspension for the home game with Sociedad last weekend.

Javier Aguirre needs to give Martin Valjent a late fitness test in the defence.

Kadewere played well last weekend and may keep his spot in the team, with Mallorca moving to a 5-3-2.
