Real Mallorca v Osasuna – Betting Preview
Real Mallorca Summary
Mallorca is without a win in their last four games and will see this as a must-win contest.
A victory on Friday night would go some way to make up for recent bad results. The face an Osasuna side which is also struggling somewhat in their form, a loss would be another big setback.
A hard fought draw at home to Sociedad three weeks ago was followed by a dull loss to Real Betis last time out.
The morale and confidence have been incredibly high for the most part since the World Cup, where there has been more talk of making 7th than there is being drawn into any kind of relegation battle.
There is a sense they are playing carefree and with nothing to lose.
Looking at team news now, and there are numerous concerns.
One of the worries is injury related to Valjent still nursing his knee issue. However, on top of that, Aguirre has many key internationals who may not arrive back in time to be ready to compete In the Friday game.
All of Rajkovic, Hadzikadunic, Muriqi, Kang In, Giovanni, and Leo Román are away with their respective nations, playing in countries where distance back to Spain could prove to be an issue. Anyone considering a bet in this game and Mallorca in particular, is advised to check the line ups.
Of these men in a race against time to be ready for the match, their top scorer (10) Muriqi is most important. He is a powerful old fashioned style centre forward with standout heading ability, as show below in the image.
Osasuna Summary
Osasuna has seen their form in the La Liga 2022/23 drop off in recent weeks, including their most recent loss to Villarreal 0-3 at home.
They had deserved more from their goalless game at home to Celta Vigo three weeks ago, and the Villarreal result was also harsh in what was an even game where they may well have drawm with better finishing.
However, Osasuna has lost their scoring touch and making more mistakes in defence, causing them to drop away from European contention into midtable.
Osasuna needs to win here in order to keep any slight hopes of making a UEFA competition next season.
Even considering the decline in form, they feel in positive mood and still have a possible Copa del Rey final on the horizon
Looking at team news now. Osasuna can recall Oroz who returns from a ban.
The boss Jagoba Arrasate is also without Rubén Peña.
Brasanac is now suspended but with Oroz back, it is a slight positive and attacking switch in the midfield
Their Spanish representatives David García, Abde, Manu Sánchez, and Aimar Oroz, are all expected to be reliably back on time.
Betting Analysis
Looking at the 1×2 market first. Mallorca is @ 2.30 but these odds could well drfit if they don’t get to start some of those internationsl which are in doubt.
Osasuna is @ 3.90 and the draw is @ 2.90.
Moving onto the Asian handicap betting for this contest. There is not a great deal between them in this market.
Mallorca -0.25 is @ 1.90 and Osasuna +0.25 with the draw onside is @ 1.96. preference is for the visitor to get a positive result.
Looking at The Under/Over goal betting last of all. The line is set at a very low 1.75, so even just two goals would pay as a half win.
The Over is @ 1.93 and the Under is @ 1.89. Purely on value, I would take the Over here.
