AD Ceuta 0-5 Barcelona – Copa Del Rey
Match Summary
Barcelona’s lineup on the night saw many changes from the weekend’s El Clasico-winning team. Xavi opted almost entirely for backup players except for Jordi Alba and Robert Lewandowski. He was partnered up top with Ferran Torres and Raphinha in the fringe but still strong Barcelona side.
The game was off to a mixed start as both sides enjoyed small, interspersed spells of possession.
Barcelona gradually took charge with Raphinha going close from range. Barcelona dominated but seemed to miss a spark in the final third.
At the half-hour mark, Ceuta striker Rodri had a golden chance when he won the header at the near post from a corner, but sent his effort just wide
Not long before the break Raphinha gave Barcelona the lead after a tee-up from Kessie. After a dull half, it was a nice way to end it, a curling shot in from 25 yards out.
The manager took off Pablo Torre at the beginning of the second half and replaced him with Gavi, who helped Barcelona cruise to the next round.
Minutes later it was 0-2 with Lewanskdosi tapping in. Two minutes later, Kessie almost got a goal for himself.
Ansu Fati produced a lovely goal to make it 3-0 in the 69th minute as Barcelona started to add shine to what was always going to be a win.
Xavi continued to rotate players and keep their legs fresh. It was soon embarrassing for Ceuta who conceded a tame fourth goal, with Kessi scoring with ease.
Robert Lewandowski made it 5-0 in the final minute of the game with a neat cutback followed by a precise shot into the bottom corner.
Betting Analysis
Looking at the 1×2 market first. Barcelona won @ 1.11, the price rose to around 1.25 before the opener, however. The home side managed to stay in the game almost until halftime but then hasd no answer in the second half.
Moving onto the Asian handicap market for this contest. Barcelona needed to win by 3 goals or more to return backers a winning bet. And courtesy of a superb and clinical second half, they did and with ease. Barcelona -2.5 won @ 1.84.
Looking at The Under/Over market last of all which was heavily dependent on a big Barcelona win to cover the 3.5 goal line. As above, Barcelona raised their intensity in the second half and covered the Over 3.5 @ 1.90 with some ease.
