Barcelona was forced to bring on Pedri in the first half after Ousmane Dembele suffered an injury. Pedri brought immediate effect with his close control and smooth dribbles. He stayed on the left side, made some good runs, and scored the winning goal as well. Pedri’s addition helped Barcelona have better control of the ball and also added an attacking threat.
Girona would be left with frustration after a brilliant performance against the table-toppers. They were good in both attack and defence and even threatened Barcelona until the last minute. The visitors, on the other hand, would be disappointed with their performance.
