La Liga to block big moves for FC Barcelona

FC Barcelona’s troubles off the field in regard to their financial situation have been well-documented; therefore, there is no real need to really go through it with you all again.

Nonetheless, they would have thought that they would have been in a new position whereby they would be allowed to spend once again in the future.

Whilst many of us may have been using an account we have managed to create at 365bet-taiwan.com in order to place bets on the matches that the Blaugrana have been playing recently amid a recent upturn in fortunes, it appears La Liga are still intent on making sure the club do not spend beyond their means.

FC Barcelona and Xavi would have perhaps felt that they would have had the necessary finances in place after securing a major sponsorship deal with Spotify which will see the music streaming platform become the “Main Partner of the Club and the Official Audio Streaming Partner.”

Additionally, it has been revealed that the brand will be the main sponsor on all of their shirts across the club, whilst also having naming rights for the Camp Nou, which will be known moving forward from July 2022 as the Spotify Camp Nou.

The deal was reported to be worth around €57m but whilst it has been claimed that the club’s spending power has since risen from £81m to £121m, La Liga are said to still be positioning themselves to block any major moves that FC Barcelona can not afford to make.

According to a report by Marca, although it does not explicitly say that the league will block a move for a world-class striker, it implies they will because of the strict salary cap that the team has to follow.

It is claimed that Joan Laporta is interested in only signing the best forward possible for the team in the summer, with the likes of Mohamed Salah, Erling Braut Haaland and Robert Lewandowski all being mentioned.

However, each of these individuals are likely to pose a significant financial threat due to the wages that they would likely look to command. Indeed, if they were to become available, then there would be other clubs interested that would be better positioned to provide them with the demands that they would have.

It will be interesting to see what happens in the summer, but if they are able to continue their fine form under Xavi and continue to win, then anything could be possible.
