One of the biggest questions looming in the footballing world is where will Erling Haaland go?
The Norwegian striker has produced ridiculously good numbers while playing for Dortmund. He has garnered 57 goals and 17 assists in the Bundesliga while playing only 56 games!
Erling Haaland is only 21 years old.
He is surely a star of the future, and along with Mbappe, they can build a similar dynasty as Messi and Ronaldo did and still continue to do!
So, naturally, with those outrageous numbers, every big club and their mother wants to sign the current Dortmund superstar!
There is a serious interest from the likes of Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, Barcelona, and Manchester City.
A poetic move
Erling Haaland to Manchester City seems like a logical move, with all that Pep Guardiola has set up and given the dynamite Manchester City midfield who provide sumptuous balls for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Erling Haaland to Manchester City could be like caviar and champagne.
But we feel him going to Barcelona will be even more poetic!
Mbappe in all likelihood is heading to Real Madrid and to counter that move, Haaland to Barcelona makes perfect sense.
In some sense, Xavi has resurrected Barcelona, and he is rebuilding it piece by piece. Barcelona is not out of the woods yet, but with Xavi at the helm, it seems that the club has a bright future ahead of them.
Now imagine the club’s excitement if Erling Haaland plays as a striker in that blue and redshirt. It will be immense for the Catalan club, and Erling Haaland can earn the trophy of making Barcelona, Barcelona again.
The Norwegian may strategize and devise his movements from the Camp Nou, while his professional counterpart is residing at the Bernabeu. It’s certainly the harder option for Erling Haaland, but it sure is the most intriguing one!
And this intriguing move might still be on the cards! Erling Haaland to Barcelona might actually be a possibility.
According to a report from Sport, Haaland has agreed to play with the Blaugrana. He is said to be convinced by Xavi’s approach, which centers around young players.
Another Spanish site, Diario Sport, has confirmed Haaland’s wish to join Barcelona, confirming Sport’s findings. The club’s personnel have already contacted the player and his entourage, and they are certain that he wishes to join the club next summer.
“Haaland has been attracted by Barca’s game, [and] by the club’s project, which is devoted to a youthful team,” the publication reports, adding that Haaland believes the squad has a future and is highly competitive, with the opportunity to be trained by Xavi also a decisive factor.
This has led Barcelona to believe that they can pull off the €310 million coup, which includes the €75 million release clause to free him from his Dortmund contract and €40 million in commissions to Haaland’s agent Mino Raiola and Haaland’s father Alf-Inge.
According to MARCA, Barcelona has calculated the total cost of Operation Haaland at €250 million ($273 million) all in.
