Denmark won 4-1 (1-0) against Russia in the Euro 2021 group B.

The match was goalless until Denmark took the lead in the 38th minute through Mikkel Damsgaard, who scored a goal, with an assist by Pierre Höjbjerg.

With more than 30 minutes on the clock, Denmark’s Yussuf Poulsen scored a goal and increased their lead.

In the 70th minute, Artem Dzyuba scored a goal, to reduce the score for Russia. However, Russia were unable to make more of an impression.

Andreas Christensen increased Denmark’s lead, in the 79th minute.

With eight minutes left to play, Denmark’s Joakim Mähle increased the lead as he scored a goal, with an assist by Pierre Höjbjerg, what brought the final score to 4-1.

The results in the final round of the qualifiers mean Russia finish fourth and Denmark finish second. Denmark has secured its spot in the playoffs.
