A recent report from a Spanish media outlet has claimed that three La Liga clubs are interested in signing Real Madrid’s Takefusa Kubo on loan this winter.

Diario AS have stated that clubs Getafe, Real Betis and Real Sociedad are all interested in taking the Japanese player on a short-term loan deal, as his time at Villarreal appears to be coming to an end.

Despite arriving at the Yellow Submarine outfit in the summer, the youngster has since become a misfit for the Spanish club as Unai Emery clearly does not deem him to be a part of his plans moving forward, despite having been incredibly keen on bringing him to the club initially.

Emery had demanded Villarreal sign Kubo to strengthen their squad, as he beat off the likes of Osasuna and Granada for the 19-year-old’s signature.

It is thought that the manager could be prepared to let him leave and return to Real Madrid after failing to break into the side, although Kubo is believed to be happy enough to stay and fight for his place in the Spaniard’s team moving forward.

The former Arsenal manager has opted for Yeremi Pino over him in recent fixtures and with Real Madrid keen to keep their Japanese starlet out on loan to further his development, reports of Real Sociedad, Getafe and Real Betis’ interest have all since emerged. Indeed, working out where his next potential landing spot and destination is could be a highly fun activity for bettors at https://www.betting24.se.

The 19 year-old has played 688 minutes across 19 competitive appearances for the Yellow Submarine. He has scored once and provided three assists.

Although Villarreal made a significant investment to bring him to the club, things certainly have not worked out for Kubo. The teenager has been limited to the action he sees, with most of the aforementioned minutes and appearances having come in the UEFA Europa League tournament. He has only managed to start two La Liga contests.

Emery has spoken out on the situation that the player currently finds himself and the manager’s words do not sound favourable: “We are not here to give ten games to a player if he does not perform. He is given one, and he must earn more. This applies to homegrown and for all. “
